Position Summary

The Senior Director of Marketing and Commercial Development will shape, develop, implement the strategic and operational marketing plans which will support the implementation, delivery and execution of the core strategic imperatives across Rocket portfolio of gene therapies. This role will report to the Vice President, Product Strategy & Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Drive market development for genetic cardiomyopathies leveraging external partners , multi-channel approaches, and data driven approaches to build disease awareness and diagnosis
  • Drive company’s cardiomyopathy genetic counseling and testing strategy, including sponsored-testing program (STP) management, and testing-education development and deployment
  • Define and own the Genetic Diagnostic Liaison (GDL)/account team customer engagement strategy and ensure GDL/account lead execution of critical team objectives
  • Shape asset Strategy development and lead tactical plan development integrating customer insights (HCP, Patient and experts), current disease management challenges and unmet need to shape a differentiated commercial strategy.
  • Build and sustain engagement across the broad set of external stakeholders, including HCPs, diagnostic companies, expert centers, and other key decision makers to achieve commercial objectives for Rocket’s gene therapies. Shape assessment of pipeline opportunities including business cases to support investments
  • Lead field team coverage of key regional and local congresses to build customer awareness of Rocket Pharma, its programs, and its corporate mission
  • Build and maintain strong disease / product knowledge for critical therapeutic areas across platforms and credibility with internal and external customers.
  • Ensure compliance and integrity across all promotional activity within the appropriate standard of and global regulatory and ethical requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 15 years of experience in marketing, new product planning and brand management.
  • Experience in Rare Diseases and/or complex therapeutics with global and US launches.
  • Strong expertise in cell and gene therapy or rare cardiology is preferred
  • Demonstrable competence in all aspects of strategic and operational marketing including leading effective implementation.
  • Track record of leading high-performing marketing or sales teams and influencing across a matrixed global organization.
  • Experience with thought leader or KOL engagement and ability to build and sustain connections with scientific and clinical leaders
  • A passion and proven track record of successful brand building through insight, intelligence and evidence which turn ideas into reality.
  • Demonstrable competence in all aspects of strategic and operational marketing, and understanding of market access including leading effective implementation.
  • Expertise in payer coverage for specialty products, distribution, and reimbursement environment
  • Travel up to 25%

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is $254,000 to $304,000.

We are committed to compensating employees equitably based on several factors, including responsibilities and level of the position, depth and types of the employee’s experience, location of the position and availability of similar talent in a competitive market.

 

For U.S.-based candidates, this is an at-will position, and Rocket reserves the right to adjust the range at hire or during the year due to market shifts.

 

In addition to base salary, Rocket offers a competitive total rewards package that may include bonuses (short-term incentives), medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, 401(k) with company match and generous vesting, paid vacation and holidays, global shutdown days between Christmas and New Year’s, and a variety of wellness resources and employee support programs.
