Position Summary

Rocket Pharmaceuticals is offering a paid 10-week summer internship for university students interested in gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced biotechnology environment. This internship provides an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals dedicated to advancing curative gene therapies for patients with devastating diseases.

 

This intern position will be responsible for supporting the Quality Control group. The intern will gain experience working in a laboratory environment and a variety of skills and knowledge that are essential for ensuring the quality and safety of products. In addition, this position will gain valuable hands on experience by supporting other quality control projects on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with organizing assay file system
  • Help develop and organize retain and reserve inspections
  • Participate in routine laboratory cleaning and maintenance
  • Assist facilitating proper storage of reagents, materials, and consumables in QC laboratories
  • Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving for Quality Control issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Warehouse, Facilities, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to execute projects successfully.

Qualifications

  • Rising junior or senior undergrad BS majoring in Chemistry, Biology, Immunology or a related field
  • Ability to read and interpret standard operation procedures and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements.
  • Great organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
