Position Summary

Rocket Pharmaceuticals is offering a paid 10-week summer internship for university students interested in gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced biotechnology environment. This internship provides an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals dedicated to advancing curative gene therapies for patients with devastating diseases.

 

This internship provides hands-on experience supporting facility operations in a regulated manufacturing or biopharmaceutical environment. The intern will assist with documentation, data analysis, and improvement projects while working with cross-functional teams. This role is ideal for Engineering students looking to gain real-world industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for facility systems and operations.
  • Conduct time studies, process mapping, and workflow analyses.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with maintenance and improvement projects for building systems.
  • Support ongoing facility upgrades and modifications, including drawing updates and documentation.
  • Create and maintain Spare parts inventory in the Regulatory Asset Management system
  • Participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving for facility issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to execute projects successfully.

Qualifications

  • Rising junior or senior undergrad that is currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of technical drawings and documentation.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or biotech environments is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a facility or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout the facility as needed
  • Ability to follow safety requirements and wear PPE when required
