Rocket is seeking a Vice President and Head of Cardiovascular Medicine, to develop transformative cell- and gene-based therapies for rare and life-threatening disorders. The candidate will be responsible for working with the clinical and cross functional teams to define the strategy and execution of innovative clinical studies with gene therapies for cardiomyopathy and related disorders. As a subject matter expert (SME), the candidate will be working on different projects to share their expertise and feedback from a cardiovascular perspective. In addition, the candidate will be the lead study physician/medical director for at least one clinical study. The candidate will serve as member of multi-disciplinary teams governing internal and external clinical collaboration, and work with the team to understand the foundational science from in vitro and in vivo models, translational science and opportunities to extend those findings to clinical trials. The candidate will also serve as a key contributor to the company’s development strategy in close collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer and other senior stakeholders. The candidate will play a pivotal role in the development, conduct and analysis of cell- and gene-therapy clinical programs culminating in health-authority submission and marketing authorization.
The expected salary range for this position is $366,000 to $440,000.

For U.S.-based candidates, this is an at-will position, and Rocket reserves the right to adjust the range at hire or during the year due to market shifts.
