Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and a foundational understanding of financial principles, who is eager to grow within a dynamic and collaborative environment. The analyst will support key processes including financial consolidation, system reconciliation, spend tracking, and business partnering with cross-functional teams.

 

You will work closely with experienced finance professionals and business partners to build models, analyze performance, and deliver insights that shape our company’s strategy, resource allocation, and milestone planning.

Responsibilities

Financial Consolidation & Reporting

  • Assist in consolidating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results across business units or cost centers
  • Collaborate with Accounting to ensure accuracy and consistency in actuals by consolidating data for journal entries
  • Support preparation of management reports, variance analyses, and dashboards

System Reconciliation & Data Integrity

  • Perform reconciliations across NetSuite and, planning tools (Adaptive)
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data, partnering with accounting and IT as needed
  • Assist with system maintenance, data uploads, and audit support

Spend Management

  • Track and analyze departmental spend against budget and forecast
  • Lead Financial dashboard creation, automation, and distribution processes
  • Prepare regular expense reports and highlight risks or opportunities to budget owners
  • Assist with purchase order reviews, accrual processes, and cost allocations

Business Partnering

  • Support Finance Business Partners by providing timely and accurate data and insights
  • Collaborate with cross functionally to understand financial drivers and support decision-making
  • Help develop and maintain financial models and tools to streamline planning and reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Mathematics
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience (internships or co-ops a plus)
  • Life Science industry experience preferred
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills; experience with ERP and Planning systems a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced environment

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000.

We are committed to compensating employees equitably based on several factors, including responsibilities and level of the position, depth and types of the employee’s experience, location of the position and availability of similar talent in a competitive market.

 

For U.S.-based candidates, this is an at-will position, and Rocket reserves the right to adjust the range at hire or during the year due to market shifts.
