Position Summary

Rocket Pharmaceuticals is offering a paid 10-week summer internship for university students interested in gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced biotechnology environment. This internship provides an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals dedicated to advancing curative gene therapies for patients with devastating diseases.

 

The internship role will require a motivated individual who is comfortable in a lab setting. This opportunity to work with Rocket will provide a hands-on experience working in the gene therapy industry as well as an introduction to the science of process development. In the 10-week program, the role will explore experimental design, execution, and analysis to culminate in a full understanding of the project and results.

Responsibilities

• Develop and complete a process development project designed for the internship
• Execute laboratory studies to evaluate novel technologies to improve existing processes and establish manufacturing platforms
• Support the design of experiments, data analysis and result interpretation
• Collaborate effectively with process development and analytical development teams
• Generate high quality results and maintain high quality documentations (paper and/or e-notebooks)
• Participate in group discussions, attend department and laboratory related meetings

Qualifications

• BS or MS students (chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, bioengineering, biochemistry, biological sciences, or relevant field of study)

• 0-2 years of related experience
• Currently a junior or senior in an undergraduate or graduate program with a concentration in the Sciences
• Good organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Read, write and speak English fluently
• Availability to work full-time
