Position Summary

Rocket Pharmaceuticals is offering a paid 10-week summer internship for university students interested in gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced biotechnology environment. This internship provides an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals dedicated to advancing curative gene therapies for patients with devastating diseases.

 

We are looking for a highly motivated, hands-on Intern Scientist to join the Analytical Sciences team at Rocket Pharma. The candidate will learn and help support assay development which supports the company’s portfolio of preclinical and clinical-stage biologics for gene and cell therapy programs. The role requires an understanding of cell biology/immunology/molecular biology.

Responsibilities

• Support ELISA, ddPCR and cell-based assays.
• Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory notebooks in a timely fashion
• Collaborate with others in the laboratory to ensure smooth operation

Qualifications

• Undergraduate rising junior or senior BS student with > 6 months laboratory experience

• Understanding of ELISA, ddPCR, mammalian cell culture and cell-based assays.
• Self-starter and must function well under minimal supervision
• Proficient in MS Office skills with a specific focus on word processing, formatting, tables, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics, slides, and templates, in addition to Adobe Acrobat
• Handle issues appropriately and with a sense of urgency

• Stand for long periods of time
