Rocket is seeking a Senior Associate, Corporate Communications, who will help amplify our position as a leading gene therapy company and inform, engage and inspire our growing team. This person will serve as a content creator, channel manager, and events coordinator, who is passionate about our pursuit of gene therapy cures for patients with rare and devastating diseases.
• Support the management of corporate channels, including but not limited to website, social media, employee meetings, intranet, company emails, and digital signage.
• Assist in the content creation process, including writing, project management, publishing, monitoring, and measurement to inform future content.
• Help coordinate the planning, logistics, and execution of company-wide events such as Town Halls and business update meetings, ensuring events are executed to a high standard and meet the needs of internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to authoring content across digital & social media channels and assist with guiding external vendors who support graphic design, video, and other multimedia content.
• Support the development of digital & social media strategies and help implement them across channels consistent with aligned strategy and best practices.
• Assist in fostering a culture of responsible employee social media sharing by collaborating with cross-functional colleagues.
• Contribute to the development of employee communications content, delivering the appropriate message in the appropriate manner and at the appropriate time.
• Support Corporate Communications measurement capability across internal and external channels to inform future plans.
• Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in communications, identifying opportunities to apply new approaches within the company.
• Champion Rocket’s mission, vision, values, and behaviors.
• BA/BS degree in communications, business, or a science-related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in communications, preferably with content creation and channel management experience. Applicants with strong expertise, particularly those with advanced degrees, are encouraged to apply. Skill set and educational background may outweigh the requirement for a specific number of years of experience.
• Strong writer for content spanning short and long-form.
• Adept project coordinator comfort with balancing several projects at once with competing deadlines and shifting priorities.
• Experience authoring content for digital and social media channels.
• Understanding of digital & social media platforms, their evolving capabilities and the social media landscape overall.
• Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office tools (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
• Graphic design experience is preferred.
