Rocket always processes personal data in accordance with local laws and about business-specific differences. Rocket Pharmaceuticals (Headquarted in US – 9 Cedarbrook Drive Cranbury, NJ 08512) is the controller of your personal data under GDPR (Rocket has defined the means and purpose of the data processing).

How do we collect your personal information?

Rocket collects personal information directly from you. In addition, information may be collected from third party sources to the extent permitted by applicable law when this is necessary to assess your suitability for the position you are applying for.

Rocket may collect personal information from partners, for example:

Companies who do pre-employment screening for us; and
Your colleagues and/or managers when they give us your reference.

What personal data we process

Personal information that you submit via the online system for applications such as: CV, applications, contact details such asname, e-mail address, telephone number, address, gender, date of birth, personal website, photo, current and former employers, work experience, title, education, completed studies, degree date, language skills, IT skills, possible employment date, salary claim and documents certifying work permits.

The personal data may, where applicable, be combined with personal data from other sources, for example information obtained from:

Interviews or other communication with you
Social media for professional purposes (eg LinkedIn)
Your reference persons
Background checks
Personality and skill tests

Once the recruitment activity for the position you applied is completed, your personal data information may be either deleted orkept in accordance with local applicable law in the event we would like to recontact you for any furture open position that may be relevant to you.

With whom do we share your personal information?

We share your personal information on a need-to-know basis, and to the extent necessary to follow laws and regulations, and to manage and run the activities related to the recruitment process.

We will also share your personal information with local or foreign regulators, or government and law enforcement authorities if we need to do so by law. These may be in or outside your country of residence.

In what instances do we transfer your personal information outside of your home country?

We work all over the world. Therefore, we may need to transfer and use your personal information outside of the country where we collect it from you. We implement appropriate measures and safeguards such as data transfer agreements that incorporate standard data protection clauses to protect your personal information when we transfer those data outside of your home country (EU/UK/CH) where data privacy laws may not be the same as the laws in your home country. The processing of personal data for recruitment purposes is mainly based on Rocket’s legitimate interests. Legitimate interests refer to an interest for Rocket for example to receive and process applications and related information. The processing of personal data based on legitimate interests means we have a clear purpose or objective (the recruitment activity), we need to process your data to pursue this objective, and in a way that a person would reasonably expect. Rocket can also evaluate your suitability for future positions that may become vacant. For this purpose, Rocket may also processes personal data to inform you about new vacancies, perform administrative functions and analyze the applicants to understand who is applying for the positions and how the recruitment process can be further improved. . As applicant you have the right to access, rectify, request deletion of your data and object or request restriction to the processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint to your country Data Protection Authority if you feel your data have been processed unappropriately.
