Position Summary

The Gene Therapy Regional Business Leader (GTRBL) - West Coast will be a field-based role to directly engage with Centers of Excellence, Qualified Treatment Centers, and referrals centers to ensure awareness of the Rocket portfolio of approved gene therapies, ensuring compliance to treatment requirements and delivering world-class customer service.

 

The individual will be a team player that is able to self-direct their activities in a complex and evolving environment and ensure a strategic problem-solving mentality, all collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

 

The GTRBL will be responsible for QTC contracting, adoption and implementation of each product in the portfolio. They will be running the business in their assigned region and will be responsible for understanding the key drivers for patient demand, account plan execution, collaboration, and demand pull-through in their assigned accounts. This includes but is not limited to creating and implementing strategic account plans that are based on identifying and harnessing business opportunities for significant growth amongst their customer bases. The GTRBL will be a process and gene therapy educator while also ensuring consistent utilization and pull through of Rocket’s approved gene therapies within their accounts.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • To drive both patient demand and accounts growth plans, develop and lead regional business plans together with cross-functional internal and external partners.
  • Map patient referral networks and design a strategy driving appropriate patients to QTCs in a timely manner.
  • Onboard and activate QTCs to include timely outreach & engagement, kick off meetings, and coordinating all steps in the activation process such as but not limited to contracting, staff training, process overviews and project management.
  • Build awareness and education for Rocket’s gene therapy portfolio by engaging with key stakeholders within assigned accounts and geographies (e.g., Hematologists, Cardiologists, Gene Therapy), Gene Therapy coordinators and clinical cell lab team.
  • Oversee and coordinate Rocket personal training for each Qualified Treatment Center (QTC) onboarding and activation while serving as the main point of contact for ongoing communication and engagement to assist in on-going order management.
  • Build and execute comprehensive account plans for QTCs, referral networks, and community practices while managing approved resources within approved budget. 
  • Engage with hospital and community-based HCPs focused on FANCA and Danon Disease to facilitate consideration of gene therapy.
  • Partner with cross functional stakeholders (Supply Ops, Medical, Patient Services, Marketing, Access) to ensure HCPs and other account-based decision-makers have timely access to critical solutions and necessary support.
  • Facilitate and provide appropriate and timely feedback to Rocket management and key stakeholders regarding account level business trends, changes in the therapeutic landscape, business issues and opportunities.
  • Maintain clinical expertise in Hematology and Cardiology including FANCA and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT) and Danon Disease.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, MS, RN)
  • 15 years’ commercial experience, including previous account management experience in the Biotech, Complex Therapeutics, Medical Devices, or specialty field sales environments, such as Cell and Gene therapy, Hematology, Cardiology, Transplant, Oncology/Immunology, rare disease experience or clinical experience within the Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) or Cell & Gene settings or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • We encourage applicants with strong expertise in cell and gene therapy, particularly those with advanced degrees, to apply. This skill set and educational background may outweigh the requirement for a specific number of years of experience.
  • Strong clinical understanding of cell and gene therapy with the ability to manage complex treatment logistics with regulatory and compliance requirements is preferred
  • Demonstrated record of successful account management in large accounts 
  • Proven track record of establishing and cultivating key customer engagements and relationships in a hybrid work environment (Live and Virtual: Zoom Meetings, Virtual Presentations, Other)
  • Thinks broadly, strategically, and thrives in a fast-changing environment.
  • Proven ability to successfully communicate and execute organizational goals and brand strategies.

  • Ability to appropriately access and handle business information in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and / or Rocket Pharmaceuticals policies.

Compensation

Salary Range: $270,000.00 – $310,000.00
