Position Summary

The Senior Director, AAV Cardiovascular Marketing Lead will lead, develop and implement strategic and operational marketing plans which will support the implementation and delivery of the core strategic imperatives for the products in the AAV franchise. As a marketing lead, you will define the strategy for new brands, communicate and align with all cross-functional departments and their goals for an effective global product strategy and launch in the US and Ex-US. This role will report to the AVP of Global Marketing and is based in Cranbury, NJ (hybrid work).

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning
    • Responsible for leading, developing and implementing the franchise strategy across the AAV Cardiovascular platform. Partner closely with clinical development teams, HEOR & market access, market analytics and  country operational teams to prepare for effective go-to-market planning.
    • Lead a comprehensive brand strategic and tactical planning process incorporating insights from market research, KOL engagement, patient groups and QTC engagement building the most effective plan to commercialize each product in the franchise.
  • Customer engagement
    • Lead, develop and maintain business relationships across the broad set of external stakeholders, including Thought Leaders, and other key decision makers to achieve commercial objectives for Rocket’s gene therapies.
    • Develop key message platforms for the brands and ensure they are effectively communicated to customers through scientific and commercial multi channels.
  • Cross-functional Leadership
    • Building cross-functional relationships with colleagues and leadership to support commercial project development and execution. Developing high quality, customer focused communication materials which align with the brand strategy to support field teams
    • Gain approval for and effectively implement strategic and operational plans with appropriate budgets and monitor and control expenditures within the marketing budget.
    • Support market access activities as appropriate as part of cross –functional teams.
  • Quality & Compliance
    • Manage promotional activity to ensure compliance within the appropriate Code of Conduct and U.S. and global regulatory requirements.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree preferred and 15 years of experience in marketing, sales, and brand management with at least 5 years of leadership experience.
  • Some experience in Rare Diseases with both global and US launches.
  • Experience in Complex Therapeutics or specialty therapeutic areas such as Cardiology, Cellular Therapy, CART or cell and gene therapy, is preferred.
  • Demonstrable competence and expertise in all aspects of strategic and operational marketing including leading effective implementation.
  • A passion and proven track record of successful brand building through insight, intelligence and evidence which turn ideas into reality.  
  • High proficiency in all aspects of strategic and operational marketing including leading effective implementation.
  • Knowledge of payer coverage for specialty products, distribution, and reimbursement environment
  • Travel up to 25-40%
